Bert Godin
Founder
Bert has been assisting players with their hockey needs since he graduated college. Below you can see his 35+ years of experience and the awesome teams he assisted.

1979 - Graduated with a BA in an individually designed major in Athletic Training from New England College.
1979-1981 - Head Athletic Trainer and Equipment Manager for the Hampton Aces of the EHL (Eastern Hockey League).
1981-1982 - Head Athletic Trainer and Equipment Manager for the Flint Generals of the IHL (International Hockey League)
1982-1983 - Head Athletic Trainer and Equipment Manager for the Maine Mariners of the AHL.(Philadelphia Flyers)
1983-1986 - Head Equipment Manager for the Detroit Red Wings
1992-1997 - Head Athletic Trainer and Equipment Manager for the Cleveland Lumberjacks of the IHL. (Pittsburgh Penguins)

Kyle Berry
Owner
Kyle started sharpening skates 13 years ago. Bert took him under his wing teaching him retail and equipment managing. Kyle spent 9 seasons with the the St. Louis Blues, assisting all the NHL teams with their needs while in St. Louis. During that time Kyle also worked for Total Hockey. Kyle continues to keep St. Louis hockey players sharp and fitted for the sport he loves.
Our Journey
​SK8Co. started in 2018 when Bert retired from his 35+ years in professional hockey. Bert quickly realized he wanted to stay around the game and give back to the hockey community in other ways. Taking his years of professional experience, he started his own skate sharpening company in his garage.
​
During Bert's time working for the St. Louis Blues, he hired Kyle to assist the opposing teams while playing in St. Louis. When Bert started SK8Co., Kyle happily joined him in his new endeavor.
Kyle now owns SK8Co., with the assistance of Bert and other employees. The shop is now located in Fenton, Missouri conveniently adjacent from The Fenton Forum.
