Do you work on figure skates?
Yes, we can. However, we are highly specialized in the maintenance of hockey skates and the sport of hockey itself. For figure skates specifically, we typically recommend Go Figure Skates in Webster Groves.
How much does a sharpening cost?
$15! We provide the best possible sharpening, while also being mindful of how prohibitively expensive hockey as a sport may be to many individuals. For that reason, we offer only one level of sharpening – the best – for one price and for all customers.
What should I expect at my appointment?
Kyle, the owner, will walk you through all the questions and concerns you have. Those fifteen minutes are 100% yours. Pick his brain and get recommendations, all while we knocks out whatever maintenance you came in for.
How do Drop-off Wednesdays work?
This is the best way to get your skates sharpened without an appointment. Many of our return customers prefer this method.

You can drop your skates off at the shop any time during business hours on Wednesday (9 AM to 7 PM), and we'll have them done by Thursday, either afternoon or early evening at the latest. It's first come, first served, so the earlier in the day you drop off your skates on Wednesday, the earlier we'll have them ready to pick up on Thursday. We may even have them ready for you same-day, but no promises there. Thursday for sure, though.
How often should I get my skates sharpened?
We recommend a sharpening every 8-12 hours of ice time.
Do you do skate repairs?
Yes! We routinely do many standard skate repairs such are replacing rivets, holders, and more. There are some rare cases (such as completely deteriorating skates) where the amount of repair needed exceeds the cost of buying a new skate, but we'll be honest with you about what your best options moving forward are.
